What Causes Constipation?
Constipation is a condition where a person has difficulty and infrequency in bowel movement. It initiates in the large intestine or colon where stools are processed to be disposed and eliminated. The colon absorbs water from the food as it forms into stools. The stool, through muscle contractions in the colon is pushed toward the rectum. On the time it reaches the rectum it is solid, this is because most of the water have been absorbed by the colon. This condition occurs when the colon absorbs too much water or if the muscle contraction works slowly. In effect, slow process of stools in our colon which causes the stool to become dry and hard.
